7. If your bike has a kickstand, make sure it is fully raised (a) before you set off. Risk of falling!
8. Do not forget to take a high quality D-lock (b) or chain lock with you on your ride. The only way to effectively protect your URBAN JUNGLE bike against theft is to lock it to an immovable object.
9. If you want to ride on public roads, make sure your URBAN JUNGLE bike is equipped accor- ding to the applicable regulations of your country (c). Riding without lights and reflectors in dark or dim conditions is very dangerous because you will be seen too late or not at all by other road users. A set of lights that corresponds to the regulations is a must on public roads. Turn on the lights as soon as dusk sets in.
For more information see the chapter «Legal requirements for riding on public roads“.
WARNING
Do not use your URBAN JUNGLE bike, if it fails at one of these points! A defective URBAN JUNGLE bike can lead to serious accidents! If you are in doubt or if you have any ques- tions, contact your URBAN JUNGLE dealer.
Improperly closed fastenings, e.g. quick-releases, can cause parts of your URBAN JUNGLE bike to come loose and result in serious accidents!
